A LANsense analyser is required to monitor all network ports, record changes in the events log, and continuousdly update and maintain the connectivity database. It connects between the equipment presentation panel and the horizontal distribution panel using the I/O cables, and is in turn connected to the iTRACS SQL database. It should be noted that 2 analyser ports (one for each panel) are required for each user channel to be monitored. A stand alone analyser can be used for smaller installations, or Master and Link analysers can be cascaded to monitor over 20000 ports supported by a single IP address providing almost unlimited scalability.
