This cable is designed for direct buried installation. Its metallic armour provides a high resitance to compression and an excellent rodent protection
The cable characteristics are the following:
- Tube filled with Jelly
- High rodent protection
- Metallic Armouring
- Capacity up to 24 fibres
- Waterproof structure
- Reinforced outersheath with UV resistance
Nexans fibre cable UC can include MM62.5, MM50 and SM G652 fibres.
For MM we offer different grades of fibre to suit your application: GIGAlite, GIGAlite II, GIGAlite 3 (MM50 only) or GIGAlite 4 (MM50 only).
Installation
- Set cutter blade at 2.00 mm
- Cut at 1.5 m distance from the cable end
- Remove sheath and armour in one operation
- Cut glass yarns

- Gel filled tube containing up to 24 individually coloured fibres
- Glass yarns reinforcement
- Corrugated steel tape armour
- PE outer sheath
